About Us
Since the COVID lockdowns, it's been reported that over 1 in 4 people in the UK have experienced mental health problems for the first time, and for employers, the cost of mental health related absence is at a record high of over £56 billion each year.
Many companies are keen to provide mental health benefits, but existing solutions regularly feel hollow and disconnected from employees' personal interests.
Meanwhile, there are tens of thousands of mostly hidden, real-world, membership clubs in the UK alone, from sports like running and 5-a-side football, to a huge range of other interests like language exchanges, walking groups and even beekeeping.
These clubs offer exactly what people need—a sense of community, belonging, and fulfilment.
Clubs themselves have a very common problem among them though - member acquisition. This is largely for 2 reasons. First, they're mostly run by passionate volunteers with limited marketing expertise and time. And second, because they're all so fragmented, they're unable to pool together to filter from a common source of new prospective members.
Until now, there's been a missing link between employee wellbeing programs and the fragmented network of valuable clubs in local communities.
Subflock aims to be this link.
Subflock is a curated online marketplace that connects employees with paid, membership-based clubs. We help employers offer their staff a tailored wellbeing benefit, while providing clubs on the platform with a sustainable stream of new members. Employers allocate an annual budget for each employee, which they can use to join real-world clubs that align with their interests.
